KarenIn addition to being a PhD and a Doctor of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, Dr. Dubrow is a Certified Golf Fitness Specialist. She will expertly analyze your body while you are swinging your club.

Dr. Dubrow uses what she identifies in the Golf Body Screen as well as her expertise and experience to analyze flexibility, muscular strength, and joint mobility in the Golf Body Analysis.

From this, she creates a Golf Specific Exercise Prescription, designed specifically for your needs and for the game of golf in order to increase your power and accuracy.

Background

Karen Dubrow holds two doctorates. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Dubrow was the first to receive the Doctorate of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (D.M.T.) in 1999 from the Ola Grimsby Institute.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University, St. Louis. She then began her clinical work at the same time pursuing and achieving a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the Graduate School of Texas Woman’s University, School of Physical Therapy. Dr. Dubrow continued with postgraduate work in Manual Therapy. Dr. Dubrow, always moving forward with education in order to better serve her patients and clients, pursued and achieved her Certification as a Specialist in Golf Fitness from the GoLo Golf Performance Institute in 2004.

Dr. Dubrow is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. She has owned her practice in Plano, Texas since 1990. She treats patients full-time in Plano, Texas, and is Director of Research Affairs for the Ola Grimsby Institute on a part-time basis.

Karen has lived in Plano since 2000 when she married her husband David, an avid golfer. (Although that was not a requirement for marriage.) Dr. Dubrow is a native Dallasite and has lived in the metroplex her entire life with the exception of college. She actively participates in local civics, and sat on the Plano Animal Shelter Advisory Committee for 8 years.

Karen is an athlete who never met a sport not worthy of trying. She was a college soccer player. Karen enjoys water and snow skiing, SCUBA diving, playing at golf, cycling, paintball, and especially martial arts. She is a black belt in both American Kenpo Karate and Tae Kwon Do. She actively participates in a different martial art form called Systema. She has studied the martial arts for 25+ years.

A dog lovers since childhood, Karen and her husband have two dogs they adopted. Laeni was adopted from the Plano Animal Shelter. Boxer was adopted from Operation Kindness.
